Top Hitter Streamers and Starts - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 6 (May 5 - May 11)

Kyle Stowers - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Dan's top hitter streamers and starts as fantasy baseball waiver wire adds for Week 6 of 2025 (May 5 - May 11). He analyzes streamers with favorable matchups, schedules.

Time to get those bids in and pick up some hitting help for the week ahead! Don't worry, I have you covered with some of my favorite waiver wire pick-ups for Week 6. I have options for just about every position and leagues of all sizes.

Our hitter streamers fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify hitters with favorable matchups who can be considered waiver wire streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire runs for leagues with weekly transactions. Players who appear in this article will always be rostered in 40 percent or fewer leagues on Yahoo!

In this piece, every week, I'll look to find hitters playing in the most games and who have the most favorable matchups to help you plug those gaps and fill those holes in your roster. You can also check out the rest of our fantasy baseball streamer content here at RotoBaller.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

What Teams Offer The Most Streaming Value in Week 6?

Most teams are playing six games this week.

However, the Diamondbacks, Braves, White Sox, Reds, Royals, and Dodgers all play seven games.

Ballpark Upgrades:

  • COL (All six games at home)
  • DET (Three games at Coors)
  • SDP (Three games at Coors)
  • TBR (All six games at home)
  • PHI (Three games at Tampa)
  • MIL (Three games at Tampa)
  • ATH (All six games at home)
  • SEA (Three games at ATH)
  • NYY (Three games at ATH)

Week 6 Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers

I'll recommend only players who are 40 percent rostered or lower, and all roster percentages are from Yahoo!

Rhys Hoskins, 1B - MIL (35% rostered)

The corner infield spots have been a bit of a revolving door this season if you don't have a top-10 hitter locked down in those spots. One first baseman on the rise is Hoskins, who, after missing the entire 2024 season, is finally starting to find his footing.

Hoskins now has four home runs after leaving the yard yesterday and has seen his average stabilize in the .260 to .270 range. His arrow is pointing up, and it might be time to scoop him up, hoping he can remain a productive hitter for the rest of the season.

Javier Baez, 3B/SS/OF - DET (32% rostered)

I don't think anyone expected to see Baez's name in any fantasy baseball articles this season, but the veteran has figured something out at the plate lately and is officially the Tigers' hottest hitter.

He has nine hits in his last six games and has homered in three straight! He's hitting .300 right now, and while it could be a fluky resurgence, I think it's worth adding him to find out. He's eligible at shortstop, third base, and outfield, so you can plug him in wherever you need help.

With the Tigers heading to Coors Field tomorrow, maybe we'll see Baez keep his home run streak going for another few days!

Kyle Stowers, OF - MIA (26% rostered)

Boy, I bet the Orioles are not loving this Stowers breakout, especially since Trevor Rogers has given them nothing since they dealt Stowers to Miami for him last season.

Stowers had himself a week! The young lefty crushed two home runs in two different games and has driven in 10 runs over his last three. He's now hitting .324 and showing off his five-tool skill set that made him one of the Orioles' top prospects.

I'm not sure what else you need to hear. Add him everywhere as soon as you can. He is easily the top add this week in any format.

Jordan Beck, OF - COL (25% rostered)

Beck's power surge has died down, but he has continued to get on base and score some runs while hitting out of the two-hole. With the Rockies set to host all six games this week, I am interested in Beck as he seems to be settling in at the major league level.

We saw the power with that five-home run outburst in two games, but Beck also has four steals and some solid speed on the basepaths. If he can continue to improve his contact rate at the plate, we could be looking at a mini-breakout from the Rockies' rookie this season.

Trent Grisham, OF - NYY (22% rostered)

Grisham is leading off against RHP, and with the Yankees hosting the Padres for three games and then heading to Sacramento for three at Sutter Health Park, I love the overall park factor for him this week. Even if you lose a game with him sitting against a lefty, Grisham has been pretty consistent of late in terms of his production and is offering some nice pop with eight home runs.

Teams are going to keep pitching to him with Aaron Judge hitting everything behind him, and don't be surprised if we start seeing Judge get the Barry Bonds treatment with some intentional and unintentional walks.

Mike Yastrzemski, OF - SFG (19% rostered)

Yaz started every game this week and hit in the leadoff spot in all but one of them. He continues to put up some usable numbers and is worthy of consideration if you need some depth in the outfield.

He's not going to wow you with huge totals, but with five home runs, 14 runs scored, 15 RBI, and two steals, he is offering some modest production across the board. Don't sleep on him just because he's been rather dull lately!

J.P. Crawford, SS - SEA (13% rostered)

Crawford has been anything but boring recently and is making up for a slow start to the season by going on a tear over the last two weeks! He's earned his spot as the leadoff man against righties back and crushed one into the seats on the first pitch yesterday.

Crawford has an 11-game hitting streak intact and has six multi-hit games in that streak, including three home runs. He should be added in all formats while he's this hot, especially with how thin it can be at the shortstop position.

Ty France, 1B - MIN (11% rostered)

France is probably a better addition in points league formats, but I think he's still a solid player for deeper roto leagues, too. He's not a prototypical power hitter at first base, but he consistently hits and drives in runs, as he's up to 19 RBI on the season.

If you value average, runs, and RBI over home runs, then France is a solid add this week as a player who has been steadily producing for most of the season.

Week 6 Deeper League Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers to Consider

Some widely available hitters (under 10 percent rostered) could be worth a look this week.

Good luck this week, and choose those streaming options wisely!
