Brent Rooker Pops Seventh Homer
Brent Rooker went 2-for-4 with a home run, walk, and an additional run scored in his team's 8-5 loss to the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. Rooker's seventh long ball of the season came off Rangers reliever Jacob Webb in the bottom of the eighth inning to cut the A's deficit to three, but that was the last run they could plate in the contest. The lefty slugger is starting to heat up, racking up four multi-hit outings across his previous seven appearances. Over that stretch, he's batting a cool .379 (11-for-29) with three home runs, one double, five RBI, and eight runs scored. Rooker has maintained his exit velocity (91.9 mph in 2025) figures while cutting his strikeout percentage (25.7%) by three points from (28.8%) in 2024.
