San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) may not be back for the rest of the season. Shanahan said that if Williams was healthy, he would be playing. However, with the 49ers looking unlikely to make the postseason, it's possible we won't see Williams over the final three games of the year. The 36-year-old is also dealing with the tragic death of his son this year, and his recovery from an ankle injury has taken a lot longer than anticipated. Williams has missed each of the team's last four games and missed yet another practice on Wednesday. As things currently stand, we'd be surprised if he was active in Week 16 versus the Miami Dolphins, which is more bad news for a Niners offense that failed to score a touchdown in last week's loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
