Pittsburgh Penguins left wing/center Evgeni Malkin tallied a goal and an assist in their victory over the Washington Capitals on Friday evening. Malkin tallied the primary assist on the opening goal of the game scored by defenseman Erik Karlsson. Later in the third, Malkin would score his fifth goal of the season, which eventually served as the game-winner. Since scoring 11 points through the first five games of the season, the 38-year-old has struggled to find consistency. This was his only his third game in his past 11 where he got on the scoresheet. Nonetheless, Malkin remains a solid option for scoring given his role on the top line and top power-play unit in the Steel City.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
