Veteran goaltender Jeremy Swayman signed an eight-year, $66 million contract with the Boston Bruins. The 25-year-old earned the deal after three impressive years as the 1A and 1B goalie. Swayman has racked up 79 wins in 125 starts with the Bruins. Fantasy owners should anticipate a bit of an adjustment period for Swayman especially during October. However, it is great to see that Swayman is finally under contract. This will be his first year as a starter and he could expects to see 50-55+ starts. Even last season, the Boston goaltender started 43 times with a record of 25-10-8, a 2,53 goals-against-average, and .916 save percentage. The deal means Joonas Korpisalo goes back to being the backup to Swayman.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
