ANALYSIS:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Bucky Irving in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft to bolster their running back room. The 22-year-old running back is off to a decent start to his NFL career, as in two games, he has rushed for 84 yards on 16 carries, averaging 5.3 yards per carry.
In contrast, fantasy favorite Rachaad White has rushed for 49 yards on 25 carries and averaged just 2.0 yards per carry. Furthermore, White suffered a groin injury in Week 2, which is not considered serious, but the team will likely reduce his workload.

This puts Irving in a favorable spot to rack up a desirable amount of fantasy points in the coming weeks. The Buccaneers will face the Denver Broncos in Week 3 and could have another dominating performance. He has played just 33% of the Buccaneers' offensive snaps so far, but that number will likely increase next week.
During his time in college, Irving was also a part of his team's passing game, as he had 56 receptions for 413 yards and two touchdowns in his final year at Oregon. This is an ideal time to claim the Oregon product off the waivers, and even if you don't want to start him, he might prove to be handy further into the season as injuries have already started to pile up for all teams.
