MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/16/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Eugenio Suarez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on September 16, 2024. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS sleepers picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a busy Monday with nine games on the main slate...but not on FanDuel. They dropped the San Diego-Houston game because it starts two minutes after the White Sox-Angels. TWO MINUTES! FanDuel only has eight games for one of the dumbest reasons I've ever seen.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on Monday, September 16, 2024, with the slate starting at 7:10 p.m. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Paul Skenes at STL ($9.8K DraftKings; $11.5K FanDuel)

Hey, remember when we were all worried that Pittsburgh would hold Skenes to a pitch count? He is still throwing over 90 pitches in most games. 100 seems to be his limit, but he can do a lot of damage in 100 pitches.

In case you're wondering, Skenes has 16 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings against the Cards this year with two runs allowed. This is what domination looks like, folks.

Seth Lugo vs. DET ($8.7K DraftKings; $10.2K FanDuel)

Lugo struck out 10 Yankees in his last outing. The Tigers are striking out at a 25.6% clip over the last month against RHP. They have solid metrics over that span, but the .314 BABIP is unsustainable. Lugo has only allowed one run on seven hits over 15 innings against Detroit this year. I trust that he has their number again.

Reid Detmers vs. CWS ($7.7K DraftKings; $8.5K FanDuel)

Detmers isn't the most consistent guy that you'll find, but he does have 18 strikeouts in 12 innings over his last two starts against the Twins and Dodgers. The White Sox are striking out at a 24.9% rate against LHP in the last month with a horrendous .035 ISO. How is that even possible? The Rays are the next worst at .076.

Also consider: Yoshinobu Yamamoto at ATL, Shota Imanaga vs. OAK, Sean Manaea vs. WAS

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Christian Walker – 1B, ARI vs. Antonio Senzatela ($5.9K DK; $3.9K FD)

Senzatela is making his first start after Tommy John surgery and we all know how bad this bullpen is. Walker is hitting .400 with two homers, five RBI, and three runs scored in the last five games. Going into Coors on a hot streak is never a bad thing for a hitter.

Eugenio Suarez – 3B, ARI vs. Antonio Senzatela ($5.3K DK; $4.2K FD)

Yes, the post is in Spanish, but it highlights how hot Suarez has been in the second half of the season. He is hitting .322 since the break with 18 homers, 47 RBI, and 45 runs scored in 54 games. If that's not hot enough, he's hitting .459 with five homers, nine RBI, and 12 runs scored in the last 10 games. Oh...and he's heading into Coors.

Andrew Vaughn – 1B, CWS vs. Reid Detmer ($3.3K DK; $2.8K FD)

Vaughn may as well be Steve Carlton in the 1972 Phillies. He has four multi-hit games in the last six outings with a homer and four RBI. He's not going to get much for peripheral stats, but he's facing a guy who still gives up runs despite the strikeouts.

Also consider: Bryce Harper, Jeremy Pena, Miguel Rojas

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Fernando Tatis Jr. – OF, SD vs. Spencer Arrighetti ($5.1K DK)

That's four homers and eight RBI in just 20 at-bats! Tatis is making up for lost time. He also stole a base to pile on those points.

Jackson Chourio – OF, MIL vs. Ranger Suarez ($4.5K DK; $3.3K FD)

Lost in the great season for Suarez is his struggles over the last eight starts. Suarez has allowed four runs or more in five of those eight starts including four to the Rays last week. Chourio has five hits in the last two games with a homer, six RBI, and four runs scored. I'm riding the hot hand against a struggling Suarez.

Tommy Edman – OF, CHC vs. Max Fried ($4K DK; 3.1K FD)

Edman has five homers and eight RBI in the last five games. He has three multi-hit games in that span and has driven in roughly a third of the Dodgers' runs in that span.

Also consider: Kyle Schwarber, Joc Pederson, Pete Crow-Armstrong

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Diamondbacks vs. Antonio Senzatela

2. Cubs vs. Joey Estes

3. Angels vs. Jonathan Cannon
