Rick Ware Racing has rarely had the speed to compete for top ten finishes (although Justin Haley is beginning to change that this year), but they have had a consistent knack for staying out of trouble in Daytona wreckfests and getting good finishes particularly at Daytona, where they have at least placed one car in the top ten every year since 2020. This time it was Rick's son Cody who finished fourth, matching David Ragan's 2020 Daytona 500 for the best finish in RWR history. In a race where only 13 cars did not crash, he ended up having minimal competition at the end. RWR clearly had more speed than many of the other survivors as the Fords did generally considering Haley dominated much of Stage 3. Although Haley certainly outran him, Ware avoided the wrecks thereby explaining his finish.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
