Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman began the offseason by essentially placing edge rusher Josh Sweat on the trade block in an apparent effort to reset the position group in terms of age and salary cap. The Eagles traded Haason Reddick to the Jets and restructured Sweat's contract to spread out his cap hit with $10 million guaranteed. Sweat will remain in Philly for an age-27 contract year, but it remains to be seen if he can perform well enough to earn a major contract with another team, or if he proves himself too valuable for the Eagles to let walk. The Eagles drafted Nolan Smith at No. 30 overall in 2023 and added Jalyx Hunt in the third round of this year's NFL draft. Sweat saw a dip in production last year but was still useful for Philly, registering 43 total tackles and 6.5 sacks while appearing in all 17 of the team's regular-season games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
