QB/WR Stacks You Must Draft in 2024 Fantasy Football

Top 2024 fantasy football QB-WR stacks. Joey Pollizze dives into the fantasy football QB-WR stacks you must have for your team in the 2024 season.

Stacks in fantasy football can really help managers win on any given week. Sometimes, those stacks are a cheat code. That's why leaving drafts with at least one QB-WR stack or one QB-TE stack can really go a long way for your fantasy roster.

The perfect example of this came back during the 2021 season. I was up by 80 points in fantasy heading into a Monday night game between the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts in Week 5. All my opponent had left to play was Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews. But that stack went on to combine for 83.6 PPR fantasy points in that game.

Stacks in fantasy are extremely important and sometimes could determine outcomes for your fantasy team. So, let's look at the best QB-WR stacks heading into the 2024 season. Fantasy managers should prioritize these five stacks in fantasy this year.

Joe BurrowJa'Marr Chase - Cincinnati Bengals

Last season, the Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase fantasy stack was not a great one to have. Burrow was not at 100% for most of the year due to a calf injury before undergoing season-ending wrist surgery after Week 11. His injury-riddled season surely affected Chase's fantasy campaign, as the Pro Bowl wideout finished as the WR13 in half-PPR formats.

But with the Bengals quarterback now back and fully healthy, look for this duo to shine again in 2024. The last time that Burrow and Chase played at least 16 games together in a season was back in 2021, the wideout's rookie year. Both players finished top seven at their respective positions in fantasy while carrying fantasy managers to a championship. Look for this Cincinnati duo to post elite numbers in 2024.

Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown - Philadelphia Eagles

When the Eagles traded for A.J. Brown during the 2022 offseason, both the young wideout and Jalen Hurts got a big boost in fantasy. Those two have since formed a strong connection in the passing game, making them one of the best QB-WR stacks in fantasy.

Since Hurts and Brown have teamed up, both players have been elite fantasy options. Hurts has finished as the QB3 and QB2 over the past two years, while Brown has two top-six fantasy finishes in PPR formats during that span. Fantasy managers will have to pay a premium for this stack, though, considering both Eagles stars are going within the first three rounds. However, it might be worth it because this QB-WR stack has been unstoppable over the past two seasons.

Dak PrescottCeeDee Lamb - Dallas Cowboys

If there was a QB-WR stack that won leagues last year, that would belong to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb. Prescott finished as the QB3 in all formats last year, while Lamb finished as the overall WR1 behind a 403.2 PPR points fantasy campaign. Both players also showed up in the fantasy championship as the two Cowboys superstars combined for 61.5 PPR fantasy points.

Now, heading into their fifth year together, look for this duo to continue their strong chemistry. That's why Prescott and Lamb are one of the better QB-WR stacks in fantasy this year. The only way fantasy managers will have the chance to roster both Cowboys stars, though, is by landing one of the first two picks in the draft. The wideout currently has an ADP of 2.9 in drafts. Still, building your fantasy team with these two players could be a good recipe for success in 2024.

Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill - Miami Dolphins

Tua Tagovailoa might have struggled down the stretch in 2023, but it doesn't take away the fact that he has one of the best wide receivers in the league in Tyreek Hill. Tagovailoa and Hill have developed their connection over the past two years, which led to a career year for both players in 2023. The Dolphins quarterback finished as the QB9, while the veteran wideout finished as the WR2 for the second consecutive year.

By stacking Tagovailoa and Hill in fantasy, managers are in for some big fantasy weeks. Last season, the Dolphins duo combined for over 50 PPR fantasy points in a week five times. Look for the Cheetah to repeat his fantasy success as a WR1 and the gun-slinging lefty to be a borderline QB1 option in 2024. Both players together on your fantasy roster should make for some high-scoring weeks.

C.J. Stroud, Stefon Diggs - Houston Texans

Choosing the last QB-WR stack on this list was tough. Kirk Cousins and Drake London were under consideration. Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua/Cooper Kupp were also an option. Even Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. could have been on this list in their first year together. However, C.J. Stroud and Stefon Diggs felt like the best QB-WR stack remaining.

Of course, fantasy managers don't know what to expect from Stroud and Diggs together. The Pro Bowl wideout was traded from the Buffalo Bills to the Houston Texans this offseason. The veteran also appeared to lose a step toward the end of last year after totaling just 37 catches for 349 yards and one touchdown over the final eight weeks.

But, in a new offense with just as good of a quarterback in Stroud, look for Diggs to bounce back in 2024. Reports have also said that the wideout was impressive in OTAs, which is certainly encouraging. That makes the Texans' QB-WR stack one to roster in fantasy this upcoming season. Both Houston stars have an ADP inside the top 42, so fantasy managers will have to spend a high pick on both players.
