Islam Makhachev retained his lightweight title in a five-round thriller against Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 302 in Newark, New Jersey. On Saturday night, these two warriors put on a show that certainly lived up to the hype. Much to the surprise of many, the fight made it to the fifth round as Poirier pushed for the finish, but Makhachev managed to take him down and sink in the D'arce choke.
