James Wood Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
Wood continues to put up monster stats at Triple-A Rochester. Through his first 161 at-bats, he's hit eight home runs with 29 RBI and ten stolen bases. Wood is a physical specimen with the size, strength, and speed to hit for average and power while being a threat on the basepaths.

He's built much like other young phenoms Oneil Cruz and Elly De La Cruz as he stands 6'7" and weighs 231 pounds. But unlike those other two young stars, Wood is already making more contact as he's struck out just 37 times while walking 33 times.
James Wood's Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
Wood is rostered in just 22% of Yahoo fantasy baseball leagues. At just 21 years of age, he's easily the most exciting hitting prospect in baseball right now. He's absolutely red hot in the minors right now and doesn't have much else to prove in terms of what he can do with the bat.

It's really only a matter of time before he gets the call. Fans are clamoring for him to come up and the Nationals management would be wise to do so sooner than later. If you have a spot on your roster that is available, I'd recommend grabbing Wood now and holding - he could end up being a huge asset for fantasy teams this season once his number finally gets called.
