7 months agoSunday's Martinsville race commemorated the 40th anniversary of Hendrick Motorsports' first win. Alex Bowman saw his teammates sweep the podium, but he enjoyed one of his best runs of the season while finishing eighth. Bowman ran in the top 10 for almost the entire race and had an average running position of eighth. He also ranked eighth in speed, his second-best speed ranking of the season behind the race at Circuit of the Americas, where he had his fastest race and best driver rating. Even though he failed to lead while his teammates all led over 60 laps, Bowman has improved in performance, which should bode well when he comes to his best tracks like Dover and Kansas later in the season.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
