Royce Lewis Receives PRP Injection

Minnesota Twins third baseman Royce Lewis (quadriceps) said he received a platelet-rich plasma injection to help his right quadriceps muscle heal. Lewis suffered a serious quad strain on Opening Day last Thursday and will be shut down from baseball activities for at least a month. Hopefully, his PRP injection will speed up the healing process in his leg, but the 24-year-old is still going to be out for a while and needs to be stashed in an injured list spot in all fantasy leagues. Since Lewis was injured, Willi Castro has been serving as the team's regular third baseman and has gone just 2-for-16 (.125) with two runs scored, three walks and seven strikeouts in his first 20 plate appearances of the year in five contests.
