EPL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings (4/2/24) - English Premier League Soccer Matchweek 31

Brandon's DraftKings EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League Soccer on 4/2/24 (Matchweek 31). His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back to “The Kick-Off” and welcome to the 23-24 season! Hopefully, everyone had a wonderful Easter as we now enter a quick turnaround with our first heavy batch of midweek matches in a while!

The top favorite for this week is AFC Bournemouth -110 vs Crystal Palace +280. I will guide you through this four-match slate starting at 2:30 p.m. EDT.

If you have any questions on today's slate, bankroll management, GPP strategy, Cash game strategy, or anything else, don’t hesitate to email me at [email protected], via X @df_solutions, or in our Discord chat rooms.

EPL DFS Goalies

Jose Sa - DK $4.7K || FD $11

Opponent - Burnley FC

The smaller the slate, the more imperative it is to get the goalie position right. The majority of the field will be on Martin Dubravka and rightfully so. The Magpies are playing at home against an Everton squad that struggles to score. However, Newcastle have been struggling defensively, conceding 10 goals in Dubravka’s last five domestic appearances. In that window, he has made 13 saves and recorded one clean sheet. Meanwhile, Jose Sa has made 18 saves, conceded six goals, and recorded one clean sheet in his last five domestic appearances. The latter is six hundred dollars less on DraftKings and is playing against the second-worst offense in the top flight, Burnley FC. In Per 90 stats, the hosts sit in the bottom two in all meaningful metrics. Dubravka is still a viable option, however, if you want to get different from the rest of the field, Sa is the man for the task.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Dubravka (DK $5.3K || FD $14), Leno (DK $4.5K || FD $10)

EPL DFS Forwards

Eberechi Eze - DK $9.7K || FD $21

Opponent - AFC Bournemouth

While many were hesitant about running Eze at striker over the weekend because he was playing away, the Rotoballer Crew ran him anyway and he didn’t disappoint. Eze produced one assist, three shots, two created chances, four crosses, six corners, one tackle, two interceptions, and one clearance. Throughout his last five domestic fixtures, he has three goals, one assist, 18 shots, 12 created chances, 24 crosses, 21 corners, three tackles, three interceptions, and two clearances. The Cherries are more sound when it comes to defensive play in comparison to Nottingham Forest and could pose as a hard defense to crack. Despite this, Eze will still be a top option at striker, due to his consistent floor thanks to set pieces and his constant offensive threat. He will be a MUST in ‘CASH’ contests.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Gibbs-White (DK $9.2K || FD $19), Willian (DK $7.1K || FD $16)

EPL DFS Midfielders

Pablo Sarabia - DK $8.8K || FD $18

Opponent - Burnley FC

Pablo Sarabia could very well be another ‘lock’ in ‘CASH’ contests for this slate with teammate Pedro Neto out. Without Neto, Sarabia gets the monopoly of set pieces, giving way to an instant floor. In his most recent five domestic matches, he has one goal, one assist, 15 shots, 11 created chances, 27 crosses, 16 corners, four tackles, three interceptions, and two clearances. Surprisingly, Sarabia has a fair share of shots in that time frame despite having just eight CPA or Carries Into Penalty Area over the season. With Burnley in the bottom 10 in In-the-Box Goals Against Per 90, things look up for Sarabia in this fixture.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): McNeil (DK $8.5K || FD $18), Pereira (DK $7.9K || FD $17)

Antonee Robinson - DK $5.5K || FD $14

Opponent - Nottingham Forest

Rumors are swirling around Robinson right now with big club suitors like Manchester City looking at potentially acquiring him in the summer. The fullback will have another chance to impress scouting clubs in this matchup. Nottingham Forest in Per 90 stats is in the bottom seven in both In-the-Box Goals Against and Goal Against. They are also the second-worst in Crosses Against Per 90. This could potentially set up Robinson for a big ceiling game. Not only will he get ample opportunity to cross, but he also has the chance of one of his teammates landing a goal on the receiving end of his crosses. With Kieran Trippier most likely out for one more match, Robinson becomes the top option at defense. Over his last five domestic appearances, he has one assist, two shots, two created chances, 14 crosses, 14 tackles, seven interceptions, nine clearances, and one block.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Ait-Nouri (DK $5.1K || FD $12), Munoz (DK $4.3K || FD $13)

Corner Takers

  • Newcastle United: Gordon/Murphy
  • Everton: McNeil/Harrison
  • Nottingham Forest: Gibbs-White
  • Fulham FC: Pereira
  • AFC Bournemouth: Cook/Tavernier
  • Crystal Palace: Eze
  • Burnley FC: Gudmundsson/Brownhill
  • Wolverhampton: Sarabia

Thanks for reading The Kick-Off. Good luck in all of your contests today!
