Isiah Pacheco Injury Update

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (ankle, toe) was limited in the team's practices on Thursday and Friday and currently is in the clear to play in Sunday's Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers. Pacheco was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated report, but he isn't in any real danger of not being able to suit up this weekend.

The 24-year-old should continue to be fed in KC's backfield as one of their primary offensive weapons. Pacheco saw 28 touches for 82 scrimmage yards and his third straight rushing touchdown in the postseason in the AFC Championship win over the Baltimore Ravens. The second-year back could be rested in practice next week, but he'll be out there as the Chiefs look to win their second straight Lombardi trophy. (Chiefs.com)

George Kittle Injury Update

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (toe) missed a third straight day of practice last week on Friday but was not given an injury designation after the first week of preparation for Super Bowl LVIII against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Feb. 11. Kittle suffered a minor toe injury in the NFC Championship win over the Detroit Lions last Sunday and was considered day-to-day on Monday, but he told reporters he's not worried about his injury and he should return to the practice field this week.

The 30-year-old caught just two passes for 27 yards in the win over the Lions, but he led all tight ends with just over 1,000 yards during the regular season and had four catches for 81 yards and a touchdown in the Divisional Round win over the Packers. Kittle could easily rebound in the Super Bowl against a Chiefs defense that was vulnerable to opposing TEs late in the season.

Jerick McKinnon Injury Update

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (hernia, pelvis) was designated to return from injured reserve on Saturday and his practice window is now open. It means that McKinnon can resume practicing with the team this week, although it doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be activated by the end of the week in order to play in Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers.

The 31-year-old was put on IR on Dec. 24 before he had sports hernia surgery and another procedure to fix a fractured pelvis. He has made good progress from those two surgeries apparently, but fantasy managers playing DFS shouldn't expect a hefty role in KC's backfield for McKinnon if he's officially active. McKinnon hasn't played in a game since Week 15.

Kadarius Toney Injury Update

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney (personal) practiced in full for the second straight day on Thursday and was officially removed from the team's injury report leading up to the Super Bowl this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers. Toney has not played at all since Week 15 and has recently been listed on the injury report with ankle and hip injuries before saying that he hasn't been injured and the Chiefs have mismanaged their injury report.

The 25-year-old former first-rounder was also away from the team last weekend for the birth of his child. Toney is getting healthy with one game left in the Chiefs' season, but even if he's active in the Super Bowl, Toney won't be expected to be a big part of the team's offensive game plan. (Chiefs.com)

Skyy Moore Injury Update

The Kansas City Chiefs listed wide receiver Skyy Moore (knee) as questionable for Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, Feb. 11 against the San Francisco 49ers after the first week of practice. Moore was limited in practice all week and is trending toward a return, but the Chiefs will have to decide whether to officially activate him from injured reserve by Wednesday.

The 23-year-old second-year wideout has not played for the team since Week 15, so even if he's activated and available to face San Francisco, it's unlikely that Moore will be very involved on offense, especially with Kadarius Toney looking likely to suit up after also being out since Week 15. In 14 regular-season games, Moore had only 21 catches for 244 yards and one touchdown on 38 targets. (Chiefs.com)

Joe Thuney Injury Update

Kansas City Chiefs left guard Joe Thuney (pectoral) is in danger of missing the Super Bowl on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, according to a league source. Head coach Andy Reid hasn't publicly ruled Thuney out, but the All-Pro offensive lineman didn't practice on Friday and will have to make significant improvement over the next week to have a shot at suiting up in the big game. He has been undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury and whether it's something he can play through, but there hasn't been much optimism.

The 31-year-old injured his pectoral muscle in the Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills and did not play in the AFC Championship versus the Baltimore Ravens. If Thuney misses the Super Bowl against San Fran, Nick Allegretti would make a second straight start.
