Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen earned his first career shutout on Sunday, leading the Sabres to a 4-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche. The Sabres put on a stellar defensive performance against one of the best offenses in the NHL, allowing just 23 shots on goal. Still, Luukkonen was up to the task on all of them, and with the performance he moves to 2-1-0 with a 2.84 GAA (0.7 GSAA) and .915 SV%. With starter Devon Levi returning soon, UPL could see reduced usage, but if he continues playing well he could push Levi for some starts.
