Justice Hill is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Since the loss of J.K. Dobbins in Week 1, the Baltimore backfield has been in flux. Gus Edwards and Justice Hill have gone back and forth in terms of leading snaps share over the past three weeks, and now rookie Keaton Mitchell is back from his stint on the Injured Reserve. Mitchell, however, did not see the field in his first game back last Sunday against the Titans.
Hill has averaged 8.3 touches per game over the past three weeks compared to Edwards' 15.3. While that split seems severe, Hill has been much more productive. His average of 5.6 yards per carry eclipses Edwards' average of 3.2. In addition to this, the 25-year-old has been involved as a receiver, further increasing his potential output.
With zero touches, or snaps for that matter, going to Mitchell in his first game back from injury, it is clear the Ravens are relying on their two veteran backs to lead the charge. While Edwards will always be there to take carries, Hill is the much more intriguing option and has the higher upside due to his pass-game involvement.
With injuries galore around the NFL, and six teams on bye in Week 7, Hill is a solid addition for not just this week but many moving forward. The matchup against Detroit is not great for fantasy running backs, but the Ravens will need to keep pace, leading to an increase in usage for the primary passing downs back.
