Colorado Rockies outfielder Cole Tucker elected to become a free agent on Wednesday. Tucker ended up playing in just five games for the Rockies this year, going 4-for-8 with two RBI and two runs scored. The 27-year-old former first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2014 hit a strong .280/.391/.407 with five home runs, 17 doubles, a triple, 35 RBI, seven stolen bases and 57 runs scored in 70 games (321 plate appearances) on the farm at Triple-A Albuquerque.
