Tyler Allgeier is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: The Atlanta Falcons selected Bijan Robinson with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, seemingly erasing Tyler Allgeier's fantasy value ahead of 2023.
However, the BYU product handled 18 touches and posted 94 total yards and two touchdowns in the Week 1 win over the Carolina Panthers. Falcons head coach Arthur Smith has maintained the notion that Allgeier will still be involved in the offensive attack, but it was still surprising to see the second-year runner post a big fantasy outing right away.
Ultimately, Robinson's workload will see an uptick and Allgeier could see a reduced role as the season plays out, and the Falcons also won't be able to keep things on the ground in all of their contests, but Allgeier has standalone value as a "backup" until further notice and might be the best handcuff running back in all of fantasy football.
If Robinson has to miss any time as a rookie, Allgeier is clearly a must-start option. He rushed for 1,000 yards as a rookie last year and has proven to be a productive NFL player.
