The Toronto Blue Jays have selected shortstop Arjun Nimmala with the 20th overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. The Strawberry Crest (FL) product is arguably the best prep shortstop in the draft, so the Jays have to be thrilled that he fell to the back half of the first round. The toolsy 17-year-old controls at-bats, should develop more power, and will have no trouble finding a long-term home on the left side of the infield. Given the fact that Nimmala isn't even an adult yet, fans might have to wait a while to see him in the majors.
