Calgary Flames forward Yegor Sharangovich has signed a two-year extension with the club after coming over from New Jersey in a trade. The 25-year-old was a pending restricted free agent but now has a fresh $6.2 million contract in his bag that carries a $3.1 million cap hit. Sharangovich had a quiet year in 2022-23 with 30 points in 75 games, but he has been averaging around 0.50 points per game in his career and will look to compete for a top-six spot next season.
