Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid received the Hart Trophy as the NHL regular season MVP for a third time Monday. He is the ninth player in NHL history to win the award at least three times and now matches Washington's Alex Ovechkin for the most among active players. The Oilers captain was just one vote short of being the unanimous MVP. McDavid had previously already secured his fifth Art Ross Trophy for most points collected during the regular season (153) and he won his first Rocket Richard Trophy for most goals scored (64) during the regular season. He also left the award night in Nashville with the Ted Lindsay Award, given to the most outstanding player of the season as voted by the members of the NHL Players' Association. It's only the second time in league history a player has won the Rocket Richard Trophy, Art Ross Trophy, Hart Memorial Trophy, and Ted Lindsay Award in the same season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
