Who Is Wyndham Clark?
Clark is a 29-year-old professional golfer from Denver, Colorado that is a member of the PGA Tour. After beginning his collegiate career at golf powerhouse Oklahoma State, Clark transferred to the University of Oregon. His game improved at Oregon and he won the 2017 PAC-12 Championship.
He turned pro later that year and earned his PGA Tour card for the 2018-19 season. Despite Clark's obvious talent for the game, things haven't always been easy for him at the professional level, as he's struggled to find consistency on the PGA Tour. Prior to 2023, Clark's closest call to a win was a playoff loss in the 2020 Bermuda Championship.
Clark's game has reached a new level in 2023. His noticeable improvement can be attributed to the spike in his iron play. Clark finished the 2021-22 season ranked 173rd on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Approach. He has jumped all the way up to 25th on the Tour in the same category this season. The Denver native is also aided by his length and power off the tee, as well as an excellent putting stroke.
