Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield has officially agreed to an eight-year contract extension with the Canadiens, valued at $7.85 million per year, totaling $62.8 million. Despite being sidelined for most of the 2022-23 season due to a shoulder injury, Caufield did reach a personal best with 26 goals and 10 assists in 46 regular season contests. With the new agreement, Caufield is now the second-highest-paid player in Montreal behind Nick Suzuki, who earns $7.87 million annually. The crafty 22-year-old will significantly impact fantasy hockey next season should he not have any lingering issues with his shoulder.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
