Brandon Crawford Exits Early With Calf Tightness
San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford (calf) was removed from Saturday's game against the San Diego Padres due to right calf tightness. He went 1-for-2 with a solo shot before exiting. The 36-year-old was replaced in the game by Brett Wisely. Crawford is off to a slow start in 2023, slashing .169/.244/.352 with four homers, 10 RBI, and six runs scored across 22 games. Crawford is considered day-to-day, and his next chance to return to the lineup is Sunday. Wisely would see an uptick in at-bats if Crawford were to miss any time, but he is not on the fantasy radar after hitting .071 (1-for-14) in 2023.
