Bruno Silva snapped his two-fight skid at UFC Vegas 71 on Saturday with a first-round TKO victory over Brad Tavares in the co-main event, which took place at the UFC Apex. Tavares had gone 2-1 over his last three appearances after a year-plus absence from the Octagon, most recently losing to sixth-ranked Dricus Du Plessis. He was the only man Du Plessis defeated, but he couldn't finish through his 19 career wins. Silva hurt Tavares badly with a right hand, followed up with a knee, and then followed up with a right that floored Tavares. In 3:35 of action, Silva landed 23 significant strikes compared to Tavares, who landed 15 significant strikes. The win moves Silva to 4-2 in the UFC and gets him back in the win column.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller
