The Houston Texans plan to release veteran defensive end Mario Addison one year after signing him to a two-year, $7.7 million deal, according to a source. However, the door isn't closed on a potential return. This is simply a salary cap-related move for the Texans. The 35-year-old was due to make $3 million this year, but the Texans will instead save $2.3 million against the salary cap by cutting him. Addison has 68 career sacks with six different teams in his 12-year career, but he totaled just one sack and 15 total tackles in 12 games (one start) for Houston in his first season with the team in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
