Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Mark Giordano made history in Sunday's 5-1 win over Seattle, becoming the NHL's all-time leader in blocked shots. He had two of them in the game to make it 2,046 blocked shots in 1,084 games for his career. Kris Russell previously held the record with 2,044 blocks. The NHL started tracking blocked shots in 2005-06. Giordano also made an impact offensively on Sunday, scoring his fourth goal of the season.
