Patrick Mahomes Practices In Full Again

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) took part in a full practice on Thursday for the second straight day. Even after suffering a high-ankle sprain in the Divisional Round win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, Mahomes hasn't missed any practice time and is fully expected to play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship. How effective he'll be, especially outside the pocket, is another story. The Chiefs are focusing on protecting Mahomes to the best of their abilities this weekend while also coming up with plays that make the most sense for his bum ankle. The 27-year-old will probably be getting the ball out of his hands quickly with short and intermediate throws, and he's unlikely to have the same kind of sky-high fantasy upside he normally has.
