The Toronto Blue Jays agreed to terms with manager John Schneider on a three-year contract on Friday as their manager for the 2023 through 2025 seasons. The deal includes a team option for the 2026 season. The former bench coach went 46-28 as the interim manager after taking over for Charlie Montoyo in July of this year. The 42-year-old helped Toronto earn the top wild-card spot at 92-70, but they were swept in two games of the Wild-Card Series by the Seattle Mariners. Schneider was drafted in 2002 by Toronto and was a minor-league catcher for six years before becoming a minor-league manager in 2009. He won championships at three levels in 10 seasons before joining the Blue Jays' staff in 2019.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
