Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes missed Monday's practice with an illness. The talented blue-liner also missed practice time last week and there have been worries about him possibly carrying some sort of an injury, but luckily that isn't the case. Furthermore, Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau has said that Hughes' illness isn't related to Covid, so he shouldn't be sidelined for long. The team starts the new season on Wednesday against Edmonton. Hughes is entering his fourth season in the NHL, and he should be among the most prolific rearguards in the league again after setting a new career record in 2021-22 with 68 points.--Taavi Pailk
