The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released safety Logan Ryan on Tuesday despite receiving consistent praise from the coaching staff during training camp. Ryan is a vested veteran and won't be subject to waivers, so the Bucs will likely look to bring him back on Wednesday after center Ryan Jensen (knee) goes on Injured Reserve. The 31-year-old veteran was originally a third-round pick in 2013 by the New England Patriots out of Rutgers. He spent the 2021 season with the New York Giants, recording a career-high 117 tackles (77 solo), one sack, three QB hits, eight passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 15 games played. Ryan has improved with age, recording 100-plus tackles in two of his last three seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
