Ethan Small Called Up Monday
2 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers recalled left-handed pitching prospect Ethan Small from Triple-A Nashville on Monday and designated right-hander Connor Sadzeck for assignment in a corresponding move. Small made his big-league debut for the Brewers on May 30 against the Chicago Cubs, allowing two earned runs on four hits while walking four and striking out four in 2 2/3 innings. He's expected to make his second MLB start on Tuesday against the Minnesota Twins. Small is the club's No. 8 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, but he'll be a very risky fantasy streamer in just his second major league start. The 25-year-old southpaw has gone 6-4 with a 3.34 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, 81 strikeouts and 40 walks in 72 2/3 innings over 15 starts for Nashville this year.
