X-Rays Negative On Kevin Gausman's Ankle
Kevin Gausman (ankle) was lifted from his start against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday after he was hit in the ankle by a comebacker. He immediately underwent X-rays after the incident and the X-rays came back negative. The team has classified his injury as a right ankle contusion. It's certainly good news that the X-rays didn't catch anything major for Gausman, but it's unclear at this point whether the ailment will cause him to miss any time. His next start is scheduled for Thursday against the Seattle Mariners. Make sure to stay tuned for updates on his status over the next few days.
