Vinnie Pasquantino Bumped Up To Cleanup Spot Friday

Kansas City Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino will be hitting cleanup in Friday's game against right-hander Michael Pineda and the Detroit Tigers. The 24-year-old batted sixth in his MLB debut Tuesday, then hit fifth in his second game, so he's been inching his way in the right direction in the order. Over his first two MLB games, he went 0-for-5 with a pair of walks. We'll see if he can deliver his first major league hit on Friday. The youngster has a lot of eyes on him right now after he became one of the most talked-about prospects in the league. Over 69 games at Triple-A this year, he slashed .280/.372/.576 with 18 home runs, 67 RBI and 51 runs. Perhaps most impressively, he struck out just 36 times over that 69-game stretch while walking 37 times.
