Shane Greene Signs With Yankees
Shane Greene signed with the New York Yankees on Thursday and was assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Greene became a free agent after he was designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier this month. The 33-year-old veteran reliever pitched two scoreless innings for the Dodgers, but he had allowed five earned runs while walking four and fanning nine in 7 2/3 innings at Triple-A Oklahoma City before LA cut him. Greene will represent organizational relief depth for New York. He has 67 career saves in nine major league seasons, but he's no longer fantasy relevant at this time.
