2024 Win-Loss Predictions for the NFC East - 2024 NFL Outlook, Projections

AJ Brown - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS and Betting Picks

What should we expect from the teams in the NFC East during the 2024 NFL season? Dave Ventresca takes a crack at predicting the win-loss records for each team.

We have seen a lot of competition in the NFC East for almost two decades now. It has been 19 years since we’ve seen a team repeat as NFC East champions.

The division has become a bit stale and top-heavy in more recent years, though, with the main players being the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. In fact, one of the Cowboys or Eagles has won the division in nine of the last 11 seasons. With the Washington Commanders and New York Giants stuck in rebuild mode, we should expect to see much of the same in 2024.

Make sure to follow RotoBaller on X and check out RotoBaller.com for all your NFL and fantasy football needs. Today, we’re going to take a crack at predicting the win-loss records for each team in the NFC East.

Philadelphia Eagles - Prediction: 12-5

After a 10-1 start in 2023, Philadelphia completely collapsed down the stretch. The Eagles closed out the regular season going 1-5 in their final six games. After a roaring start, the team went out with a whimper in a 32-9 Wild Card loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Philadelphia thinks it has identified the problem after giving former offensive coordinator Brian Johnson the boot. It brought in former Cowboys and Chargers play-caller Kellen Moore to run the offense in 2024. The defense is a question mark, but with Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley leading the offense, Philadelphia is armed to retake the NFC East title.

Dallas Cowboys - Prediction: 9-8

Dallas made virtually no major additions to improve its roster this offseason. It was a head-scratching approach considering the way its 2023 season ended after an embarrassing loss to the Green Bay Packers in the opening round of the playoffs.

Dallas still has a talented roster, but we can’t really say this team is any better than last year’s. A complete collapse is unlikely. However, it’s hard to see it eclipsing its projected DraftKings Sportsbook win total of 10.5. We should expect to see some regression.

Washington Commanders - Prediction: 6-11

Washington starts fresh in 2024. It has a new coach in Dan Quinn and a new quarterback in Jayden Daniels. The team is hoping Daniels can be the key to turning around the franchise.

The club has some talent to work with on offense, but the defense is another story. With new ownership and a new regime in place, things are looking up in the nation’s capital. We should expect to see some improvement, but Washington still has a long way to go.

New York Giants - Prediction: 4-13

The Giants have tried their best to improve this roster. They added a major piece to the defense after acquiring linebacker Brian Burns in a trade with the Carolina Panthers. Rookie receiver Malik Nabers was added with the sixth pick of the NFL Draft. He is a dynamic playmaker, and one this offense desperately needs. They also made numerous moves to address the offensive line in free agency.

However, the team still has a Daniel Jones problem at quarterback. Jones has never been an efficient passer, and things probably won’t change in Year 6. The loss of star running back Saquon Barkley won’t help matters. With RotoBaller’s sixth-hardest-projected strength of schedule, 2024 may be another rough season. Expect New York to finish toward the bottom of the division and be in the market for a new quarterback in 2025.
