Yahoo MLB DFS Advice (4/7/17): Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks

Yahoo DFS advice and daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 4/7/17 by Jason Bales. MLB DFS player recommendations for your Yahoo daily tournaments and GPPs.

We have quite a few games to choose from today and tonight. Every single team in the league will play today or tonight. Max Scherzer is taking the mound, which is very important. Find out who else is important.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 4/7/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.

You can read our FanDuel and DraftKings DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @thedominatordfs.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on Yahoo

Los Angeles Dodgers versus Kyle Freeland

The Los Angeles Dodgers are headed into Colorado to face off against the Rockies and Kyle Freeland. Freeland is new to the league, and he is a left-handed pitcher, which will benefit the Dodgers' right-handed bats. Yasmani Grandal (switch hitter), Logan Forsythe, Justin Turner, and Adrian Gonzalez comes to mind. Coors Field is attackable for obvious reasons, but with the addition of Freeland on the mound, and Yahoo not skyrocketing the Dodgers' price tags, this is easily the best stack option available.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo

Max Scherzer at PHI ($58)

Max Scherzer is obviously the best pitching option on the board tonight. He gets a great matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies, a team that strikes out 0.2532 times per at-bat. Scherzer has a 11.347 SO/9 and a 0.983 WHIP. He should easily pick up the win, which also goes a long way. Do not hesitate to roster him, even with his expensive price tag.

Francisco Liriano at TB ($41)

Francisco Liriano is the best tournament option on the board at the pitcher position tonight. He gets a good matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays, a team that strikes out as frequently as the Philadelphia Phillies. Liriano has a great 9.306 SO/9, which seems low compared to Max Scherzer, but so does everyone else in the league, aside from Clayton Kershaw. Liriano has great upside for tournaments.

DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo

Catcher (C) - Willson Contreras at MIL ($17)

Willson Contreras is a great power-hitting catcher. He is reasonably priced on Yahoo, as well. With a 0.495 SLG, 0.034 ISO differential, and a good matchup against Jimmy Nelson, all the stars are aligned on this recommendation.

First Base (1B) - Chris Davis vs NYY ($16)

Chris Davis is too cheap on Yahoo. The issue is that Yahoo has a lot of underpriced players. Davis has a 0.062 ISO differential and a 0.031 wOBA differential. That is due to his great splits against right-handed pitchers. He is hitting cleanup for the Baltimore Orioles. Roster him in tournaments.

Second Base (2B) - Logan Forsythe at COL ($19)

Logan Forsythe has already been mentioned in the stacks section. He is hitting fifth in the Los Angeles Dodgers lineup, and he is hitting in Coors Field against left-hander Kyle Freeland. For a second baseman, it does not get any more powerful than Forsythe in Coors Field.

Shortstop (SS) - Francisco Lindor at ARI ($19)

Francisco Lindor is hitting in Arizona, which is a very hitter-friendly ballpark. In fact, on DraftKings, stacks in Arizona was the most frequently cashing stack. Lindor has a 0.025 wOBA differential against right-handers. Shelby Miller struggled last season; it'll be interesting to see how this season plays out for him.

Third Base (3B) - Manny Machado vs NYY ($19)

Manny Machado should definitely be more expensive. Roster him next to Chris Davis for added upside. He has a great 0.061 ISO differential, even against a right-handed Luis Severino. He hits third in the order, so RBIs are bound to happen.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo

Nomar Mazara vs OAK ($14)

Nomar Mazara has one of the best ISO differentials on the board at 0.157. He also has a great wOBA differential at 0.105. The Oakland Athletics are pitching a right-hander, so Mazara should be able to capitalize from the left side of the plate.

Travis Jankowski vs SF ($10)

Travis Jankowski has great splits against right-handers, and Matt Cain tends to struggle quite frequently. Jankowski is also very cheap. He is hitting first in the order, so his ability to steal and score runs is at a premium. Roster him as a salary relief option.
