Yahoo MLB DFS Advice (4/12/17): Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks

Happy Tuesday night and/or Wednesday morning! Heck, maybe you're reading this Wednesday afternoon or early evening. In any case there are two early afternoon games and two late afternoon games along with eleven evening games on Wednesday. That's a total of 15 games on the slate for Wednesday, and I'm going to focus on all of them.  Yahoo has some great value options to choose from for DFS games so let's get down to business (because, as usual, it's business time).

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 4/12/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.

You can read our FanDuel and DraftKings DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @justinrklein.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on Yahoo

Colorado Rockies vs RHP Luis Perdomo and the San Diego Padres. After getting knocked around last year to the tune of a 5.71 ERA and a 4.84 FIP Luis has started this season right where he left off. In his first outing he went five and one-third innings and posted that same 4.84 FIP to go with a 8.44 ERA. Perdomo has been bad against right handed hitters, but he's been even worse against lefties. Because of this I'll be targeting all southpaws playing for Colorado.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo

Max Scherzer vs STL ($57)

Mad Max is one of the best pitchers in the game, so it's easy to use him on any day. I especially like him on this day because there aren't very many high upside options. He's expensive, but he'll face Mike Leake and the Cardinals at home. I expect great ratios with a ton of K's and win.

Jordan Montgomery vsTB ($26)

Jordan Montgomery landed on my radar a few weeks ago when I saw a tweet by Bernie Pleskoff. Here is the tweet. Go read it and the attached scouting report. At just $26 I love pairing him with Scherzer on Wednesday.

DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo

Catcher (C) - Tony Wolters vs SD ($15)

Wolters is a left handed Rockie, and that happens to be exactly what I want to stack on Wednesday. Stack 'em, stack 'em,  to the top!

First Base (1B) -  Steve Pearce vs MIL ($8)

Pearce and the Blue Jays will face Chase Anderson on Wednesday so it's a good thing Steve is right handed. That's because Mr. Anderson has allowed RHH a staggering .291/.344/.500 triple slash in his career. At just $8 I can't pass Pearce up and neither should you.

Second Base (2B) - DJ LeMahieu vs SD ($18)

DJ is at home and will likely hit second in a strong lineup against a terrible pitcher that is at his worst against LHH. Plus that whole Coors Field hitter's paradise thing. Check, please!

Shortstop (SS) -  Francisco Lindor vs CHW ($23)

Lindor has been on fire this season as he's posted an awesome 12.3 FPPG this season and he's already managed seven hits including a double and three HR. In his career he's posted his best ISO (.178) against left handed pitchers at home and on Wednesday he'll face LHP Derek Holland at Progressive Field.

Third Base (3B) - Jake Lamb - at SF ($19)

Jake Lamb gets to face Matt Cain on Wednesday and that's a good thing for Lamb and his owners in the fake game. Cain was once a stud SP, but now his fastball averages under 89 MPH and the average exact velocity of the hit he gives up is over 92 MPH. Sounds like bad math to me. When you also factor in that Lmab has posted a .211 ISO against RHP in his career and we have a great DFS asset on our hands. The ballpark isn't ideal, but the matchup is, and that will have to do.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo

Carlos Gonzalez vs SD ($17) - Cargo has been ice cold lately, but I expect him to snap out of it at any moment. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks out against Jered Weaver tonight. Even if he doesn't I'm bullish on Wednesday, because Cargo has the best matchup that he could possibly ask for. He'll face a bad pitcher that struggles the most agaisnt lefties and he'll face him at home at Coors Field. That's about as juicy as it gets.

Kevin Pillar vs MIL ($10) - Pillar has struggled this season, but all he needs is a date with Chase Anderson to cure what ails him. For an explanation of that see Pearce, Steve. At just $10 I can save some coin and exploit a great matchup. Double Bonus!
