Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Corral is rumored to be available via trade this offseason. The team recently sent multiple first-round picks, multiple second-round picks, and DJ Moore to Chicago to move up to the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

They are expected to take the top quarterback on their draft board, so Corral's chance at starting for the franchise is over before it started.

Is Matt Corral Going To Be Traded This Offseason?

Corral was drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but Carolina is already willing to trade him this offseason. Corral likely would have started a few games in his 2022 rookie season as the QB situation was fluid week-to-week, but he suffered a Lisfranc injury in a preseason game against the New England Patriots and was placed on season-ending Injured Reserve.

Corral posted 3,349 passing yards, 20 passing touchdowns, five interceptions, and 11 rushing touchdowns in his final season at Ole Miss. He was once viewed as a first-round quarterback, but suffered an injury in the final game of his collegiate career and eventually fell to the third round as the fourth quarterback selected.

Which Teams Could Trade for Corral?

Since Corral is not likely to be on the radar for a starting QB job, there are endless possibilities of teams who could be interested -- especially since the Panthers will reportedly deal him for cheap. Any team looking to add some upside at the backup QB spot might be willing to send a late-round pick for the former Ole Miss signal-caller.
