Will Aaron Rodgers Remain With The Packers In 2023? Fantasy Football Outlook

aaron rodgers fantasy football rankings news NFL DFS lineup picks

Will Aaron Rodgers stay with the Packers in 2023? Which team could he go to if he leaves Green Bay? Read the outlook here.

Longtime Green Bay Packer, Aaron Rodgers, is a surefire first-ballot Hall of Famer. There is no debate. What is debatable is whether or not he will remain with the Packers in 2023.

Ahead of the 2022 season, the quarterback signed a three-year, $150 million contract, with over $59 million dollars remaining if he chooses to remain in Green Bay. There is much speculation, however, if that will be the case. He becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2024, and the Packers organization may try to get something for him if he is unhappy before it's too late.

Will one of the all-time greats keep calling Lambeau Field his home in 2023? If not, will he retire, or will another NFL team sign him? Let's take a closer look.

Will Aaron Rodgers Remain With The Packers in 2023?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past calendar year, you know Rodgers and the Packers have reached a breaking point in their tumulous relationship. One of the greatest to ever play the game struggled last season, as did the team, and the QB isn't getting any younger. He will be 40 years old this December, and he has considered all his options, one of which is retirement.

Number 12 told reporters he was entering a "darkness retreat" last week at the Sky Cave, Oregon facility to "contemplate all things" and to "make a decision that he felt was best for him moving forward in the highest interest in his happiness." As things currently stand, nothing has been decided to this point; however, an announcement feels imminent.

Some have called him a "diva" for his methodical and gradual process of planning out his future, but Rodgers says this is the most important decision he will ever make. The ongoing saga of whether he will or won't return to Green Bay has been both ongoing and frustrating for fans for the last few years and may have finally reached its boiling level.

Which Team Will Sign Rodgers in The Offseason?

Will the 24th overall selection in the 2005 NFL Draft hang up his cleats? Seems highly unlikely as he has hinted in recent months he still has plenty left in the tank.

If that turns out to be the case, and he doesn't remain a resident of Wisconsin, which team will trade for him? He certainly has his suitors, with the Jets, Panthers, and Raiders the reported favorites, and all in need of a quarterback.

The final decision on Rodgers' future will come down to what HE wants, not the team, and not another organization. However, he needs to let the team know before the league year starts on March 15th, or else he will truly risk being labeled a "diva" for the rest of his career.
