Rico Dowdle, RB, Panthers

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales told reporters on Monday that he anticipates a continued workload split between his two running backs, Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle. In the two games that Hubbard missed with an injured calf, Dowdle saw a total of 61 opportunities, which he converted into an unreal 470 yards and two scores. In Hubbard's first game back, the two saw a nearly 50/50 workload split, with Hubbard on the field for five more snaps than Dowdle, but Dowdle seeing 18 opportunities to Hubbard's 16.
Dowdle was also the more efficient back on the day, averaging 5.3 yards per touch to Hubbard's 3.4, and managing a usable fantasy performance with his 96 yards. For fantasy managers who had feasted on his last two games, it was surely a disappointment, but in the right matchup, both backs should provide enough of a floor to help navigate bye weeks and injuries from the flex spot, especially as Hubbard continues to knock off the rust.
Verdict: Sell-high as his upside will be limited with Hubbard's return.
Rashee Rice, WR, Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs said that wide receiver Rashee Rice was going to be heavily involved in the offensive game plan in his season debut in Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday after serving his six-game suspension, and they were not lying. Rice picked up right where he left off last year, securing seven of his 10 targets for 42 yards and his first two touchdowns of 2025 in the team's 31-0 blowout win over the Raiders.
The 25-year-old led the team in targets and catches on the day and reminded everyone why he was quarterback Patrick Mahomes' favorite target in the passing game last year before he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Rice's longest catch of the game only went for 12 yards, but fantasy managers have to be very pleased with what they saw from him in his season debut.
Now that he's back from suspension, Rice should be locked and loaded into all starting fantasy lineups for a Monday night matchup in Week 8 against the Washington Commanders and their porous secondary.
Verdict: Buy-high in all leagues. Rice has elite WR1 upside going forward.
Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints
Trade Value: 32.7

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ankle) was limited on Thursday for the second straight day this week due to an ankle injury. Kamara has been dealing with an ankle injury for three weeks, but it hasn't kept him from playing in any games, and he should be fine to suit up for a divisional clash this Sunday versus the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Fantasy managers should be comforted by the fact that the 30-year-old veteran played a season-high 84% of the offensive snaps in last week's loss to the Chicago Bears after backup Kendre Miller (knee) suffered a season-ending torn ACL. The Bucs have been a top-10 matchup for opposing RBs this year in terms of half-PPR points allowed per week, but Kamara is also averaging a career-low 3.6 yards per carry in seven games for the 1-6 Saints.
With six teams on bye in Week 8, Kamara is still more of a low-end RB2 for fantasy purposes with minimal upside.
Verdict: Buy-low if looking for an RB2.
Jaylen Warren, RB, Steelers
Trade Value: 33.7

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren rushed for 127 yards on 16 carries during Thursday's Week 7 loss against the Cincinnati Bengals. He also caught four of his five targets for an additional 31 receiving yards. Although Warren wasn't able to find the end zone on Thursday night, he still had a terrific performance with 7.94 yards per carry and a significant impact in the passing game.
His efficiency likely peaked thanks to his matchup against a Bengals defensive line sans Trey Hendrickson (hip), but he still has a favorable fantasy outlook heading into Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers. He continues to rank as a steady RB2 option in fantasy football.
Verdict: Prime target to acquire if you need an RB2.
