Fantasy Football Trade Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider trading for or trading away heading into Week 7:

Rico Dowdle, RB, Panthers
Trade Value: 18.1
ROS Rank: 109

Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle has been the talk of the NFL lately, recording 373 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 60 total touches across his last two games played. Dowdle has been filling in for Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard (calf), who could make his return in Week 7 against the New York Jets.

However, Panthers head coach Dave Canales has been non-committal about whether Hubbard will remain the starter once he returns. While Hubbard will certainly get his touches, it's hard to imagine that Carolina would completely remove Dowdle from the game plan, given what he has done over the last two weeks.

If there are any leagues where Dowdle remains available, he needs to be rostered in all fantasy formats and could be a borderline must-start running back in Week 7, even if Hubbard returns to the lineup.

Verdict: Buy if price is still low due to playing time concerns

George Pickens, WR, Cowboys
Trade Value: 52.6
ROS Rank: 38

Through six weeks, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens leads the NFL with six touchdown receptions, while his 525 yards trail only Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Puka Nacua. Asked on Tuesday about a potential contract extension, Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones touched upon Pickens' fit within the locker room before saying the team would need to think about "having some room available if [they] are gonna pay a second receiver at that level."

The Cowboys acquired Pickens in an offseason trade, and as he plays out the final season of his rookie contract, he currently represents the gem of the 2026 free agency class at the position.

It remains to be seen if he can keep up his torrid pace when CeeDee Lamb (ankle) returns from injury, but wherever he ends up next season, he'll likely see a deal in excess of $30 million per year. He should be viewed as a fringe WR1 in both redraft and dynasty formats.

Verdict: Buy high in potent offense, even with pending return of CeeDee Lamb

Romeo Doubs, WR, Packers
Trade Value: 25.4
ROS Rank: 88

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs recorded five catches for 55 yards on a season-high nine targets in Week 6. Doubs has 18 catches for 234 yards and four touchdowns on 28 targets across five games this season, and 17 of his 28 targets have come in Green Bay's last two games.

Most encouragingly for his fantasy outlook, the 25-year-old continues to play the clear WR1 role in his team's offense. Doubs has played at least 85% of the Packers' offensive snaps in each of the team's last three games, and he's the only Packers wideout to play 80% of the snaps in any game this season. Doubs should be rostered in all fantasy leagues with 10 or more teams heading into a Week 7 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.

Verdict: Buy if price is still low especially in PPR leagues

Michael Pittman, WR, Colts

Trade Value: 31
ROS Rank: 73

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. turned in a slow performance in a 31-27 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Pittman caught just two of his three targets for 20 yards in the close win, breaking a five-game streak where he caught at least four passes or a touchdown.

The veteran took a backseat to Tyler Warren and Josh Downs against Arizona, but he had been operating as the Colts' top wide receiver in the five previous games before Week 6's win over the Cardinals. Pittman will now look to bounce back in Week 7's road matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. He can be deployed as a WR3 in fantasy for that contest.

Verdict: Target in trades, potent offense with weekly upside

DJ Moore, WR, Bears
Trade Value: 25.5
ROS Rank: 87

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore (groin) was taken to a hospital in Washington, D.C. on Monday night for precautionary reasons following the team's one-point win over the Commanders. Moore stayed in the hospital overnight, but head coach Ben Johnson said that he is now back in Chicago, according to Scott Bair of Marquee Sports Network.

The Bears will continue to monitor Moore's status going into their Week 7 contest against the New Orleans Saints. The 28-year-old was seen going into the medical tent on Monday night, but he eventually returned to the field and caught three of his five targets for 42 yards while also carrying the ball twice for 10 yards.

It's unclear at this time if Moore is in danger of missing Week 7, but we should know more later in the week once the Bears resume practicing on Wednesday. If Moore cannot play this Sunday, rookie Luther Burden III would become flex-worthy in fantasy as the No. 2 behind Rome Odunze.

Verdict: Avoid in trades, sell if possible to get reasonable return

Who Should I Trade For?

Week 7 Trade Decisions. Today's focus is on specific players - Rico Dowdle, George Pickens, DJ Moore, Romeo Doubs, Michael Pittman, Kyren Williams, Brian Thomas, Tony Pollard. These are some key fantasy football names heading into this week's matchups.

Using The Trade Values. This is a simple trade value tool, but very powerful. In our fantasy football trade value rankings above, you will see the Trade Value for each player. The higher the number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Players with a high trade value number are players that you should be targeting more in trades.

How It Works. Each week, our RotoBaller staff puts together their weekly fantasy football rankings, projections, and trade values based on their research. That information is the core data that is powering the decision-making in this trade value rankings.

How To Calculate Trades. Fantasy football managers will make 1-for-1 trades, or 2-for-3 trades, or 3-for-2 trades, or many other combinations. For each side of the deal, add the trade values together. Whichever side has a higher total number wins the trade. For example, if someone is offering you three players, add the trade values of those three players together. Does the value of those three players exceed the values of the player(s) you are trading away? If so then it's a good deal for you.
