Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Rashee Rice, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice will take the field for the first time this season against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. The Chiefs receiver was injured to end last season and served his six-game suspension to begin this season, so Rice has not been active since Week 4 of 2024.
That said, everyone in the Chiefs organization seems confident in his ability to be an impact player upon his arrival. Rice was averaging 21.6 PPR points per game to begin last season and had an explosive 12-catch, 110-yard performance the week before his injury. The 25-year-old is more than a year removed from the injury and should slot right back in as the team's top target.
Rice will face the Raiders, who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season. Rice is ranked WR8 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a strong WR1 in his first game this season.
Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
After a slow start to the 2025 season, his second year in the NFL, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. has heated up the last two weeks. In the 20-12 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Thomas had eight catches on 10 targets for a season-high 90 yards and his first touchdown of the year.
He led the team in targets, catches, and receiving yards. Thomas' eight catches were the most he's had in a game this season, and he's now caught 12 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown on 16 targets in the last two weeks. Fantasy managers are hoping that the 23-year-old second-year pass-catcher is just starting to find his groove with quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Thomas had over 1,200 yards receiving and 10 total touchdowns in 2024, so we know what he's capable of. He'll be a must-start in a Week 7 matchup in London against the Los Angeles Rams.
Deebo Samuel Jr., WR, Washington Commanders
Washington Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (heel) is listed as questionable for Sunday against the Cowboys. Samuel was able to get some work in at practice on Friday, but there is uncertainty for his status for Week 7.
He was noticeably impacted by the injury in Week 6 against the Bears and finished with only four catches (five targets) for 15 yards. Samuel described the injury as "aggravating for sure" and said, "we'll just have to see" regarding his status for Sunday. The 29-year-old has seen heavy usage over the past few weeks with WR Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) out, and he'll be expected to play a big role again Sunday if he can suit up.
It's a dream matchup for Samuel against a Dallas defense that is allowing the most PPR points per game to opposing wide receivers. If Samuel is unable to go, rookie Jaylin Lane and second-year Luke McCaffrey could emerge as viable fantasy options in Week 7.
Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ribs, ankle, shoulder) practiced in full on Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation heading into Sunday night's game against the Falcons. The 28-year-old has been banged up all year.
Unfortunately, he hasn't looked the best, catching only 10 passes for 136 yards and one touchdown. Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (calf) won't be available. However, the 49ers will get George Kittle (hamstring) back after being on the shelf since the Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
With a recent uptick in production from Kendrick Bourne and Kittle's return, Jennings may not be the safest fantasy option in Week 7 versus a tough Falcons defense.
Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams could take on an expanded role going forward, starting with Sunday's Week 7 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. There will be additional targets to go around with Puka Nacua (ankle) expected to miss the international game.
It's unclear exactly how much time Nacua will miss, and while it's not expected to be a long-term injury, Adams should handle a significant portion of Nacua's vacated targets for at least a week or two. This is encouraging news for the veteran receiver and his fantasy managers. Adams has been able to maintain WR2 value in fantasy football, but his mere 47.3 percent catch rate has been disappointing, to say the least.
An increased target share should at least lead to more catches for Adams in Week 7, if not a higher catch rate. He'll sneak into the low-end WR1 tier as soon as Nacua is ruled out.
