Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 18:

Devin Singletary, RB, New York Giants

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary bounced back from a couple of subpar showings in Weeks 15 and 16 with a solid game in his team's Week 17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, recording 70 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 12 touches. While Tyrone Tracy Jr. has established himself as the RB1 in New York in recent weeks, Singletary has maintained a role in the Giants' offense. Across eight games since New York lost running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) to a season-ending ankle injury, Singletary has racked up double-digit touches seven times.

He's also scored four touchdowns and recorded fewer than 46 scrimmage yards just once in that eight-game stretch. While Singletary's upside is limited by Tracy Jr.'s presence, he's demonstrated flex-worthy production on a relatively consistent basis. Singletary could be worth targeting on the waiver in fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams heading into a favorable Week 18 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Tank Bigsby, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby could be the starter in Week 18 against the Washington Commanders. Bigsby was traded from the Jaguars to the Eagles after Week 1 and has served as a handcuff to star running back Saquon Barkley this season. However, with the Eagles planning to rest their starters in Week 18, Bigsby could have a clear path to the RB1 role this week. Bigsby has averaged 6.4 yards per carry with the Eagles this season and has played slightly more snaps than Will Shipley behind Barkley.

The Commanders have given up the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs this season and, just two weeks ago, allowed Barkley to rush for over 130 yards and a touchdown. Bigsby will be a name to monitor on waivers or as a DFS play if the Eagles decide to rest Barkley and the starters.

Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams (ankle) is officially questionable to play in his team's Week 18 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, per Adam Grosbard of the Los Angeles Daily News. Per head coach Sean McVay, Williams is likely to play on Sunday. Williams suffered an ankle injury during the Rams' Week 17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, but he was able to return to the game.

Los Angeles could be locked into the No. 6 seed in the NFC come game time on Sunday, but McVay said on Friday that he plans to play the team's starters regardless. Rams running back Blake Corum (ankle) is also questionable to play in Week 18, so Williams could be in line to dominate backfield snaps against Arizona if Corum is sidelined. If both Williams and Corum are inactive, the team would likely split work between veteran back Ronnie Rivers and rookie Jarquez Hunter.

Jaylen Waddle, WR, Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ribs) will be limited in Friday's practice and is questionable to play in Sunday's Week 18 regular-season finale against the division-rival New England Patriots, according to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN. Waddle missed practice on Wednesday and was limited on Thursday and Friday. Tight end Darren Waller (groin) won't play in the final game of the season, and both Waddle and running back De'Von Achane (shoulder) could be held out.

Waddle had five catches for 72 yards in rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers' first NFL start, but he failed to haul in his only target in last week's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before injuring his ribs. The 27-year-old could be a game-time decision in Week 18, making him extremely risky for fantasy managers still trying to win a championship.

Jalen McMillan, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan exploded for seven catches and 114 yards in the team's 20-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 17. The 24-year-old's target (nine) and yardage totals were team-highs, setting personal bests across the board. Coincidentally, McMillan did not see a significant rise in snap share, hovering around the same figure he's recorded since returning from an injury.

Regardless, he and Chris Godwin Jr. were the only other pass-catchers to eclipse 40 receiving yards (108). With a myriad of mouths to feed in Tampa Bay's attack, it's unlikely McMillan would have another performance such as this when they square off with the Panthers in Week 18. That said, he sports solid athleticism and offers fantasy managers big-play ability for one of the few meaningful games in the campaign's final week.
