Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 17:

Mike Evans, WR. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has given this offense a substantial boost since he returned two weeks ago. The 32-year-old hasn't missed a beat as he's already back to being Mr. Reliable in Tampa Bay. Over his last two games, Evans has hauled in 11 of his 21 targets for 163 yards with one touchdown. It seems clear that Evans and quarterback Baker Mayfield have great chemistry together.

The fact that Evans has seen nearly double-digit targets in both games since returning is positive. The expectation is that Evans is going to continue being a focal point in the passing attack. Evans should be plugged in as a WR2 for the upcoming Week 17 matchup versus the Miami Dolphins.

Jakobi Meyers, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is among the safer options at wide receiver this week against the Indianapolis Colts. The Jaguars' offense is clicking, and Meyers has been the most consistently targeted option for Trevor Lawrence. He has had at least six targets in every game since Week 11 and has usually been able to muster at least a good chunk of yards or a touchdown.

Against the Colts in Week 14, he earned his most targets of the season with the Jaguars, with 10, but only managed four catches for 39 yards, but salvaged his fantasy day with a touchdown. Given his consistent involvement with the offense, Meyers is a safe play in Week 17 for managers looking for someone reliable to start in their fantasy championship.

Kenneth Walker, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III is in a great position to exploit a weak Carolina Panthers' rushing defense in Week 17. Carolina's defense has improved overall this year, but the rushing defense remains a problem. The Panthers are 25th against opposing running backs in fantasy. Additionally, Carolina is allowing 4.76 yards per carry to opposing running backs. This matchup is the remedy needed for a struggling Seahawks' rushing game.

It could allow Walker to build on his best performance of the season in Week 16 when he scored 25.40 fantasy points against a tough Rams defense. Walker's volume is going to remain in the 12 to 15-touch range, but his potential for a big play will be high in Week 17. He is still a flex consideration considering his low floor, but Walker has RB1 upside this week. If you are a heavy underdog in your matchup, Walker could provide the upside you need to balance the playing field.

Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins only has 49 catches for 720 yards in 13 games this season. On the other hand, he's certainly made up for it by amassing 10 touchdowns, tying him with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for the third-highest mark at the position. Granted, fantasy managers would love to see more volume for the former Clemson Tiger.

Still, not many (if any) can say that they have scored at least once in six of their last seven appearances. With a favorable matchup with the injury-plagued Cardinals defense on tap for Week 17, Higgins' ceiling is as high as ever. Keep him starting in all fantasy formats.

Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London (knee) is officially questionable for his team's Week 17 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, per Terrin Waack of atlantafalcons.com. London suffered a knee injury in Week 11 that sidelined him for the team's next four games, but he was able to return in Week 16. Atlanta eased him back into the lineup in Week 16, as he played a season-low 69% of the team's offensive snaps.

That could indicate that London is not fully recovered from his injury, as he remained limited in practice throughout this week. However, London's Week 16 participation seems to bode well for his Week 17 status, unless he suffered an undisclosed setback. The 24-year-old has recorded 63 catches for 837 yards and six touchdowns on 102 targets across 10 games in 2025. If active, London profiles as a low-end fantasy WR1 in Week 17 against the Rams.
