Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 11:
Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Washington Commanders
Washington Commanders rookie running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt entered Week 10 against the Detroit Lions as the second back to receive touches behind Chris Rodriguez Jr. Although Croskey-Merritt finished the game with 11 carries and played 44 percent of the snaps, prior to Rodriguez leaving the game early due to a shoulder injury, Rodriguez had played 72% of the snaps in the first half, compared to Croskey-Merritt's 16%.
As a result of the injury to Rodriguez and the game being out of hand, Croskey-Merritt ended up playing 65.4% of snaps in the second half. This is perhaps why some fantasy managers may believe Croskey-Merritt is still the lead-back. It may continue to be a backfield split moving forward; however, at this time, Rodriguez practiced all week and is expected to play Sunday, and is in line to have lead-back duties.
As a result, this makes Croskey-Merritt someone who can't be trusted heading into Week 11. The Commanders play the Miami Dolphins in Spain on Sunday, which should set up to be a strong matchup on paper for him, Rodriguez, making him an RB3/flex option in Week 11.
Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kenneth Gainwell has had a solid season while serving as the No. 2 back behind Jaylen Warren and could be in line for more opportunities moving forward. Head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Warren "simply cannot play every down" when asked if he should play more snaps.
Gainwell has played mostly on pass downs with Warren healthy, and actually outsnapped him 27 to 24 in Pittsburgh's Week 10 loss to the Chargers. The Steelers were trailing for most of the game, which led to the uptick in snaps for the 26-year-old, but he had only three receptions for four yards on four targets. Tomlin also pointed out that if the Steelers win more on third down, then Warren will get more touches.
Pittsburgh was unable to sustain drives on Sunday night, going just two for 11 on third downs. Gainwell should continue to play a prominent role on late downs with the potential to fill in as the workhorse if Warren were to miss any time.
Malik Washington, WR, Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington has been a fairly consistent contributor for the offense since Tyreek Hill (knee) went down in Week 4. Washington has served as a lite version of Hill, with plenty of designed targets and jet sweeps to get the ball in his hands.
The per catch efficiency has been modest for the 24-year-old, with his 6.4 yards per reception ranking third lowest out of 117 wide receivers with at least 100 routes this season, per Fantasy Points Data Suite. Washington remains among the top Miami pass catchers in routes run and has recorded multiple receptions in all but one game this season.
Washington has also scored twice in the past three weeks and gets a glorious Week 11 matchup against a Washington Commanders defense that has allowed the second-most PPR points per game to opposing wide receivers.
Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that wide receiver Romeo Doubs (chest) "should be good to go" for the Week 11 contest this Sunday on the road against the New York Giants after leaving Monday night's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles early, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
We'll closely monitor Doubs' practice status this week heading into Sunday's game, but as of right now, fantasy managers should expect to have him available in a very good matchup at MetLife Stadium. (Doubs has registered full practices on both Wednesday and Thursday.)
The 25-year-old will have an even higher ceiling and floor if rookie wideout Matthew Golden (shoulder) is forced to miss a second straight game with his shoulder injury. Through 10 weeks in 2025, Doubs leads the Packers in catches (35) and targets (56) while recording 446 receiving yards and four touchdowns as the team's WR1 with Jayden Reed (collarbone, foot) on Injured Reserve.
Darnell Mooney, WR, Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney was one of the breakout players of the 2024 season, recording 64 catches for 992 yards and five touchdowns across 16 games. However, the 28-year-old has not been able to recreate his standout performance in his second year with the team.
Across seven games in 2025, Mooney has just 13 catches for 190 yards and zero touchdowns on 35 targets. Injuries have been a factor, as he missed most of training camp with a broken collarbone and recently missed time due to a hamstring issue.
However, Mooney has struggled when on the field as well. He hauled in just one of eight targets for 17 yards in Atlanta's Week 10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Heading into a Week 11 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, Mooney remains virtually impossible for fantasy managers to trust.
