Who should I start for Week 16? Fantasy football outlooks for Jauan Jennings, Jerry Jeudy, Khalil Shakir. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.
With the fantasy playoffs in full swing, fantasy managers must make calculated decisions when contributing to their lineups. When looking at the wide receiver position, there are often several options that all carry solid upside with inherent risk.
In this piece, we will look at three wide receivers: Jauan Jennings, Jerry Jeudy, and Khalil Shakir. All three wideouts have enjoyed several breakout performances over the past few weeks but have seen their consistency drop, making them sometimes risky WR3 options.
Should these three wide receivers be in our Week 16 lineup? Let's dive in.
Should I Start Jauan Jennings for Fantasy Football?
Last Thursday evening, the entire San Francisco offense struggled as it could not find the end zone one time against the Rams. In this game, Jennings only caught two passes for 31 yards. However, he did see nine targets.

While his production in Week 15 may have almost lost your matchup, it is hard to bench him in three-WR formats. Since Week 10, Jennings has emerged as Brock Purdy's go-to option in the passing game as he has averaged 8.5 targets per game.
In this span, he has scored a solid 15.3 PPR points per game. On Sunday, he will face the Miami Dolphins, who have allowed the second-fewest PPR points to opposing wideouts. Despite the tough matchup, fantasy managers should trust his volume and view him as a high-floor WR3.
Should I Start Jerry Jeudy for Fantasy Football?
Since Week 11, Jerry Jeudy has performed as a WR1, averaging an impressive 23.7 PPR points per game and averaging 127 yards per contest. Much of this was credited to Jameis Winston taking over starting duties.

However, given Winston's poor decision-making last weekend, the Browns are opting to move Dorian Thompson-Robinson up the depth chart to QB1. While Jeudy should still be deployed as the team's WR1, his upside will be very limited.
Fantasy managers in deeper formats should still view Jeudy as a dependable WR3 but should lower their expectations significantly. Despite facing a weak Cincinnati secondary on Sunday, Jeudy should only be played in deeper three-WR formats.
Should I Start Khalil Shakir for Fantasy Football?
Khalil Shakir has posted two strong performances over the past two weeks. Shakir has found the end zone in each contest and averaged 5.5 receptions per game with 72.5 yards per game.

With Josh Allen tallying 10 total scores over the past two weeks, fantasy managers should feel confident starting Shakir as a high-end WR3 in all formats. While the Buffalo wide receiver room is a bit crowded, especially with rookie Keon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid returning to action, Shakir should still be started in all formats given Allen's MVP production.
On Sunday, he faces the New England Patriots, who have allowed the 15th-most PPR points to opposing wide receivers this season.
