Fantasy Football Drop Candidates
Read about fantasy football players to consider dropping for Week 13:
Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets
New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said on Friday that he expects wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee) to play again this year, but Glenn also added that it's up to the doctors, according to Antwan V. Staley of the New York Daily News. Wilson missed several games with a knee injury before returning in the Week 10 win over the Cleveland Browns, only to aggravate his knee.
The Jets placed the 25-year-old on Injured Reserve this week, so he'll be forced to miss at least the next three games following the team's Thursday night loss to the New England Patriots. He won't be eligible to play before Sunday, Dec. 14, against the Jaguars.
With Wilson out for the foreseeable future, John Metchie III and Adonai Mitchell figure to be featured as the team's top pass-catchers in what has been the worst passing offense in football this year. Fantasy managers stashing Wilson need to know that there's a chance he won't contribute again in 2025.
Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy caught one of his three targets for 39 yards and lost a fumble in a 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12. Jeudy coughed up the ball at the end of a long catch-and-run when he had the ball poked out from behind in the second quarter.
The veteran wideout's disappointing season continues as he has just 32 catches for 395 yards and one touchdown in 11 games. He has been held to 50 or fewer receiving yards in eight contests. Jeudy will not be a strong fantasy option heading into a Week 13 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
Keon Coleman, WR, Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills second-year wide receiver out of Florida State, Keon Coleman, was benched for the second straight week and did not suit up for the Bills' Thursday Night Football game against the Houston Texans. The Bills fell short, losing 23-19, and have now fallen to (7-4) on the season.
The offense was a bit of a mess on Thursday night, due in large part to the spectacular Texans defense and to Coleman and Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) being out. Because of this, Khalil Shakir had a big game, leading the pass-catching room with 10 targets in a game that required quarterback Josh Allen to throw the football 34 times.
At this point, Coleman has 32 receptions for 330 yards and three touchdowns on the season, and is not performing on the field to the level the Bills want him to be, nor in the classroom, where he consistently shows up late for meetings, which is why he was benched in the first place. At this point, Coleman can be dropped in all fantasy formats if needed and remains a dynasty stash at best.
Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (shoulder) is playing through a sprained AC joint injury, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Luckily for Love and the Packers, the injury is to his left (non-throwing) shoulder.
Had the injury been to Love's right shoulder, Rapoport noted that the quarterback would not have been able to play, but he was able to practice fully this week and is active in Week 12 versus the division-rival Minnesota Vikings.
Nonetheless, the injury isn't exactly pleasant, so it will be worth watching to see how Love performs. Fantasy managers counting on Love should keep an eye on how he plays through the pain against Minnesota.
Alvin Kamara, RB, New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara's (knee) MRI exam showed an MCL sprain, a source told Nick Underhill of New Orleans Football. Kamara avoided a major injury in Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12, but it's unclear if he'll be forced to miss time.
It's possible that the 30-year-old misses time, but he is not dealing with a long-term injury. Fantasy managers should expect Kamara to miss at least one game, which means that rookie Devin Neal would be in line for lead-back duties in a strong matchup in Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins. Kamara has been a major disappointment for fantasy managers in 2025 in a struggling Saints offense.
He had only three carries for 11 yards and caught both his targets for four yards on Sunday before leaving early. Neal finished with seven carries for 18 yards and caught five of seven targets for 43 yards through the air. Taysom Hill had a team-high 10 carries for 17 yards and will also be much more involved in the backfield for the Saints if Kamara misses time going forward.
